Mr. Pons earned his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 2013, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from New York University in 2006. Before joining Jaffe & Asher, he specialized in contract law related to the acquisition and disposition of distressed assets, as well as government-related procurement projects. Mr. Pons’s practice at Jaffe & Asher focuses on financial services litigation and other litigation matters, with an emphasis on lender liability claims, including those brought under the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Mr. Pons supervises litigation of cases outside of New York State through a nationwide network of law firms and local offices while providing guidance and counsel to the General Counsel’s Office of one of the country’s largest credit card issuers.
